I Just Can’t Help Myself

As I’ve said numerous times, “Focus and finish the last thing before starting the next project!”

As usual, my New Year’s resolution was thrown under the bus before the first week in January was history. If I finished the over one-hundred stories I’ve got in my Draft folder, I’d be busy for the next couple of years. I’ve managed to publish over 30 novels, but to say I’ve got a backlog is an understatement.

My House Party (HP) story started as a single novel, it is now spanning three books, and I don’t expect to type the final “The End” for at least two more stories in the series. HP and HP2 are in the can (Hollywood speak), and HP3 is very close to release. Each one of the first three books is 80-90,000 words each. A typical paperback novel is 75-100,000 words, so if we add up HP + HP2 + HP3, we are starting to reach Stephen King’s The Stand size, yet with no end in sight.

Wife Swap by Larry Archer

In a plot similar to their 1969 movie namesake, two couples Bob & Carol and Ted & Alice decide to open up their marriage and share some of their most intimate fantasies.

My original idea for this story came after I watched the original Bob & Carol and Ted & Alice on Amazon Prime. I have to admit that my story deviates a lot from the original R-rated movie. Aside from the bad hairdos and bell bottoms, it was pretty funny to see two more or less straight couples attempt to swap wives for the first time.

In my version of the story, you can follow along as the two wives decide to swap husbands for an innocent date to spice up their marriage. Still, things rapidly spiral out of control when they realize that Carol is a multiple personalities Sybil, who is up for anything and anyone.

Carol and Alice meet at the gym and find an instant attraction for each other. Carol is frankly a prude and the product of being raised by conservative parents, who instilled in her a seriously fucked up attitude towards sex.

It’s a Crazy World Out There

House Party Series Update

The House Party series is somewhat of a break from my normal Foxy and Larry series of swinger stories. I’m waiting to see if I catch hell from my wife about how I portrayed her in this series as she’s a little bit further over the edge. We are a happily married swinger couple, and when I create a story based upon our fictional selves, I try to write the story pretty much true to life as we are “normally.”

I try to portray Foxy and Larry as we are in real life, except not richer than God and not owning a strip club. Being in the Lifestyle has always been fun and enjoyable. We have a close group of friends that we run with. With the divorce rate at around fifty-percent in the straight world, divorce among swingers is rare.

House Party or The Secret Life of Swingers

“House Party” is a term used between swingers to denote a special kind of party when “we” get together. Swingers are a special breed who live amongst us in secrecy. Normal people who we call “straights” are the oblivious ones who have no idea of what’s going on around them.

It’s hard to know how many swingers there are, but estimates put them at 2-10% of the population, according to NBCNews.com. Personally, I think the percentage is more in the 4-5% range, but it’s hard to know for sure.

Swinging is frowned upon by a lot of people and, as such, not a topic regularly discussed over coffee. What my wife and I have found is that swingers are by in large great people to associate with. A party is called a house party, which flies over the heads of most straights.

For the most part, attending a house party looks like any other social gathering except for a few noticeable differences. Women in the Lifestyle tend to be exhibitionists, and as such, the scenery is usually much better than a typical Friday night get together with the neighbors.

Authors who self-publish, worry about sales for several reasons. Your sales can mean the difference between cat food and steak for dinner! The term “self-publish” means that the author alone is at the wheel without being able to rely on the Tesla self-driving mode. When you point to the reasons for success or failure, your finger points directly at your head!

The traditional method of publishing assumes that you, the author, will write the next Gone With The Wind. Then you ship off your manuscript to a major publisher and sit around, often for months, just to receive the dreaded rejection letter.

My latest box set, Swinger’s Box Set #2, has run off in a cloud of dust. I just checked on Amazon, and it’s #29 in Fantasy Erotica. This is after only three days in the Amazon Kindle and Kindle Unlimited store. Technically, its been out five days, but since it took two days for Amazon to review and publish it, I consider it on the market for three days!

Swinger’s Box Set #2 is a compilation of three of my more popular erotic stores, and at over 122,000 words is more than full novel size in length. If you’ll note, the page count is 344 pages. With smut from Larry Archer, you run out of stroke before you run out of pages!

While I was able to withstand the urge to buy myself a new Range Rover, I did order a new, just-released Canon R5 with a 24-70mm f2.8 L lens. For you non-camera types, instead of the Sears & Roebuck catalog, shutterbugs are taking the R5 brochure to the bathroom to jerk off to.
