The Dancer (21,000 words) is a story about a young college girl, who is working her way through college by dancing at The Fox’s Den, a gentlemen’s club in Las Vegas. While on the job only a week, she has learned a lot about sex beyond what was taught in Sex Ed 101.

What could possibly go wrong? Only that her mother learned of her new job stripping and was convinced that she was also hooking. What’s a mother to do, so naturally she crashes into the bosses’ office in full on crazy cat-lady attack mode.

Thankfully cooler heads prevailed and the crazy lady ends up in bed with the bosses’ wife, while the young dancer, Peaches, ends up in a threesome with the boss Larry and Linda, the manager.

The Demand for Paperback Porn

I released my first porn story in paperback a few years ago, more as a lark and to allow my wife to read and comment on my smut stories. Foxy, a cute Luddite, refuses to read anything longer than a text message on her phone or laptop. She is one of those people who read every word and ponder every sentence on which came first, the chicken or the egg. When you get the book back, it is often filled with notes in the margin, along with underlined and corrected verbiage. I was taught that writing in a book is a sacrilege against the laws of nature. So, it’s typically with chagrin when she returns a smut story after reading it.

Her comments are insightful and mostly on point, but I can’t seem to get her to read electronic stories. She has a laptop, iPad, and tablet, but nothing seems to work, and I’ve pretty much given up.

Initially, I had serious reservations about any ROI on printed smut stories. I wasn’t convinced that the additional time and effort would be rewarded in sales. But, once again, I fear I’m about to eat my words.

It’s Alive! No, this is not some cheesy horror movie starring Bela Lugosi but House Party 3, full of F&S’ing now available on SmashWords, Apple iBooks, Barnes & Noble, Kobo Adult, and Scribd. Of course, it’s on Kinky Literature and Amazon Kindle in electronic and paperback format.

The four-book House Party series has been a popular set of stories and was previously only available on Kinky Literature and Amazon Kindle. I’ve been publishing the series on SmashWords and their affiliates, with HP3 just released. I’m working on House Party 4 and should get that pushed out within the next two weeks.

In the House Party Series, Foxy and Larry meet and party with a couple from Los Angeles. Foxy decides to run off with the guy, who abandons his wife with Larry. After they return to L.A., Foxy discovers that he owns a movie production studio that makes pornographic movies.

Finding Smut in Apple Books

How do you find erotic literature on Apple Books? I’m asking myself as I ponder the meaning of life.

As a computer nerd, I have a foot in both Windows and Mac camps. I grew up with DOS and then Windows. I write computer programs under Windows but only use a Mac because I like their laptops. The only Windows laptop I like is the Lenovo business machines. Big and clunky, but the keyboard and touchpad actually work, unlike every other Windows laptop I’ve owned.

People have suggested that I get a mouse for my Windows laptop, but a laptop is something you carry around without having to haul a bunch of accessories to use it. Plus, battery life on a Windows laptop generally sucks.

Why Should You Buy Erotic Literature?

When I want to read murder mysteries, I turn to Patterson, Grisham, and Connolly. War stories are Clancy, Baldacci, Hunter, and Flynn. Koontz and King are my horror go-to’s.

But what about erotica? With dirty books, you naturally assume someone will get laid, but how true is that? I enjoy reading porn as much as the next person, but I don’t want to wait until the last page for someone to get shagged. Granted, most erotic stories will be doing the dirty before the final chapter, but a lot of the time, sex is few and far between.

True story: One of our straight friends writes bodice rippers and is pretty good at it. She has no idea that we are in the Lifestyle but just friends. A couple of years ago, her editor said she needed to add more sex to her stories. So now, on about the last page of a story, the heroine gets almost raped by the hero, and she loves it.

I often wonder about her true feelings about sex as I assume she thinks it’s as dirty and disgusting as her mother told her it would be. One of the things you have to put up with is allowing your husband five minutes of satisfaction every other odd, dated Friday.

All Hallows’ Eve

The nice thing about being on the Strip is people watching, and the show is often better than the ones you have to pay for.

The Perfect Wife Now Serving Amazon Customers

Today marks twelve days since I submitted The Perfect Wife for review at Amazon, and was finally approved today! What’s funny is that the paperback version was immediately approved for release. Typically, the review process is a technical review to ensure that the resultant electronic copy is formatted properly after conversion. SmashWords immediately accepted the same story except for the front and back, but who knows what evil lurks in the hearts of men?

I’ve switched over to Scrivener for most of my writing. The beauty of Scrivener is that the software breaks up a story into the basic parts, front matter, body, and back matter. The front matter or front of a book is the cover, title page, copyright page, and table of contents. The body is the actual story or the dirty parts. Back matter is information on other stories and about the author.

The body of the story is the same, no matter where it is published. With Scrivener, you create customized front and back matter for the distributor you are using, such as Amazon or SmashWords. Then you tell Scrivener which version to generate and it builds a Word output file of the complete story from front to back.
