Life is good in Las Vegas. It’s actually freezing here a week before Ho Ho comes to shower us with presents and, hopefully, a pony. Albertson’s has Blue Bell ice cream on sale this weekend, and that’s my next stop after Jack in the Box for breakfast.

For Texans, we love girls with big hair, chicken fried steaks, and Blue Bell ice cream. Blue Bell is usually only sold in the Lone Star State but has been available for a couple of years in Las Vegas. While I don’t have a clue as to why the ice cream is exported to Sin City, I’m certainly not complaining.

After breakfast, I’m returning home to work on my latest paperback, The Watchers, a Hotwife story. Actually, I started out to publish a paperback of my box set Hotwife Stories #2. As I started work on the box set, I realized that I’d never published The Watchers in paperback, which is included in the Hotwife Box Set #2. Considering that my paperback porn is 25-45% of my total sales at Amazon has encouraged me to push out all of my stories to paperback. I’ve published paperback versions of over half of my Larry Archer erotic stories to date.

The box set is a compilation of four individual stories, and I’m going through each and freshening them up. Then I’ll combine them into the box set for publishing. Like a lot of people, I’ve become accustomed to reading on my phone or tablet and didn’t realize how much I missed being able to hold an actual book while reading. Foxy is a Luddite and refuses to read on an electronic device. Publishing paperbacks is the only way to get her to read my smut. Plus, as an author, it’s neat to be able to hold something you produced physically, and there’s less chance you’ll drop your phone in the toilet.

I’ve been writing erotic romance for ten years, somewhat loosely based on our travels through the world of swinging and the alternative Lifestyle in general. It’s pretty cool to take a scene you’ve been in and publish the details to the world. Swingers lead a secret life, as it’s okay to have an affair with a coworker, yet openly switching partners is frowned upon by straights.

Other authors of erotica have to try and imagine what it’s like to attend house parties and wall-to-wall “fucking and sucking,” but we get to live it. Our group of fellow perverts is a large and varied set of people, some normal and some not so normal. In large cities, there are typically distinct groups of couples who get together to knock boots. We moved from the mid-west, and there were about six swinger groups in our major metropolitan area. Some are informal, but our primary club has existed since the eighties.

Our club held large dances and parties with 100 to 200 couples. It was common to take over most of a hotel or a wing for the weekend. For example, one of the parties we attended in Chicago rented out the entire hotel and was probably more than a thousand people. There are also a lot of bars that are Lifestyle friendly and good places to meet others with similar desires.

As I read through The Watchers, it was the first time I ever wrote Foxy into a gangbang with our girlfriend, Chrissy. As far as I know, my wife has never been in a gangbang, but it was fun to imagine her pulling a train. With the fictional versions of ourselves, I try to keep them pretty much accurate to how we are in real life.

Foxy has long been able to climax by simply thinking about it, which leads to exciting results. I hope to finish up the paperback version of The Watchers today unless something else pops up. I’ve got the story poured into QuarkXPress and have several formatting issues to deal with, but it’s looking pretty good. I’ve enjoyed publishing in paperback format as it allows me to experiment with options not available in electronic publishing.
