Hitting the Bestseller’s Lists

As much as I hate to blow my own horn, two of my latest stories are currently best sellers at SmashWords. House Party 4 is the third most popular as a Featured New Release in Action/Adventure Erotica.

House Party 4

And The Perfect Wife is the fourth in Best Selling Books as of today, 6-December-2022.

While writing smut stories is not quite like Gone With the Wind, it is kind of cool to see a story you’ve written at the top of the best seller’s list.

House Party 4 is the final book in the House Party series and begins to wrap up the problems between Foxy and Larry after Foxy leaves her husband to become an award-winning porn star. Readers of Foxy and Larry swinger stories should know up front that becoming an adult actress is certainly within the realm of possibility for Foxy.

The Perfect Wife is a Hotwife story that is in the timeline after the House Party series. Larry Archer has published forty-five paperback and electronic erotic stories. Most of the stories include Foxy and Larry in one fashion or another.

Larry has written a number of Hotwife stories that feature mature women who are discovering their sexuality in their forties and older, to the delight of their voyeur husbands. As swingers in real life, Larry and his wife party with a number of cuckold – Hotwife couples and use the experience of partying with them as a basis for his explicit stories.

Larry says that Hotwives are so much fun and make it easy to wrap a story around their often outrageous behavior. Larry’s stories are stuffed full of explicit sex scenes that are dripping with erotic behavior from start to finish. Scenes pulled from house parties, gangbangs, and threesomes will entertain readers desiring entertainment that smokes with excitement.

I’m Larry Archer, and I write erotic stories for the huddled and yearning masses. Foxy and I are swingers in real life, and I write about the things we do and see. While the Lifestyle is not for everyone, it’s been fun for us. My smut is explicit and hardcore but with a somewhat plot. My porn stories are generally positive and fun as this reflects how enjoyable swinging has been to us. If you’re interested in checking out my stories, I publish at all the typical outlets.

  1. “Action/Adventure”! Now there’s a euphemism!

    Congratulations, Larry!

Frankly, my dear Larry, you do give a damn, so I would agree with that assesment.

    Congrats.

Just think how many more shoes Foxy can get. 😉

“It’s nice to see that someone has seen the movie or read the book.”

Yeah well, I got almost all the obscure references that Dennis Miller made on his HBO show back in the day, so I’ve got a working knowledge of a plethora of trivia.

There are some people that refer to me as their favorite search engine 😉

Well the gnomes at Amazon have mucked up the web site again.

Have you been to your authors page lately?

They’ve totally changed the layout and removed a boatload of functionality.

    Whiskey Tango Foxtrot.

Gone are the “buy with one click” buttons next to each book and it doesn’t change the button to green for books you already own.

Hell, it doesn’t even show all your books by default.

Gone is the link to your blog posts, which is how I normally find these bon mots.

You can’t change the sort option and bookmark the page with that saved.

I’m sure there’s some marketing noob saying “less is more”, and that’s why there’s a boatload of white space.

Or the software geeks decided the easiest way to fix a bug was to eliminate the feature.

And the best part is, for the life of me I can’t find a spot on their website to give feedback about the site itself.

I appreciate your comments and will provide feedback to Amazon. I’m not sure it will do any good, as I’m assuming the same changes have happened to every author. The thing I noticed was that my last story took two weeks to approve, and they didn’t have any comments/concerns, just were slow to approve it.

There is what we call a thirty-day cliff on new stories. When you publish something, the first few weeks, Amazon will push your story more than normal then after about a month, they will ease up.

Thanks for attempting to help fix it, and I know it is often a head-banging process to get anything done. Many times you cannot even talk to someone about an issue.

Well my luck with electronic purchases is on a hot streak.

Today CD Projekt RED is rolling out an updated version of The Witcher 3 with awesome improvements in the eye candy, along with a bunch of other improvements and updates.

Yes, it’s the same Witcher as on Netflix.

It’s arguably one of the best RPG’s of all time, and they were giving the upgrade free to anyone who had bought an earlier version.

Well except those of us who bought it through Electronic Arts Origin app.

EA says it has no idea about his update and we have to contact CD Projekt RED about it.

Lot’s of pissed off people in the thread at the EA site about it, where multiple people have quoted the CD Projekt RED press release about it and told the EA representative, Whiskey Tango Foxtrot why haven’t you got this update rolled out?

Well, I poked around the CD Projekt RED website and found four options of an e-mail address to speak to them and picked the “business” as being the closest one, since EA is basically boning their customers who have already paid for the game.

We’ll see if anything comes of that.

I hope to god, these on-line things don’t come in three’s like celebrity deaths.

Well, some interesting developments with Amazon.

If you search for an author, using the search bar at the top of the Amazon web page, you get a list of their works. To get this to work right, you normally have to select the “kindle store” option as opposed to all from the pull down on the left of the search bar.

Depending on the author’s name, this could be just a list of their work, or a bunch of other stuff that include one word from the author’s name.

I’ve noted previously, that this search method sometimes shows books not shown on the “normal” author’s page, or they appear n this search before they appear on the “normal” page.

Anyway, yesterday, they started adding a “you own this book” along with a “read now” button for the applicable books.

Nothing’s color coded, but it’s an improvement.

Sweet, so apparently, they listened to you. Amazon has slowly been getting better with customer service for authors also.

Not exactly. The “normal” author pages are still in the new FUBAR format.

They seem to have added more functionality to the other search list output.

I didn’t mention this alternative way to get a list of an author’s books when I IM’d them.

Of course, they had this same feature for the search tool output some time ago, but it didn’t last. So, we’ll see if it too vanishes after a bit.

Oh forgot to mention that when one sorts the search bar output and bookmarks that, it remembers it when you reload it.

One of the things I’ve learned is to try and accept the things I cannot change. Else you’ll drive yourself crazy. Over time you learn how to deal with publishing houses like Amazon and SmashWords as it’s often like trying to deal with a 3-year-old kid who only sees things as black or white.
