My latest paperback, The Watchers, showed up at my front door this afternoon to my surprise. I’ve had it on order since December, and it looks pretty cool. I’m really pleased with my new cover designs that go completely across the front and back of the book.
I’ve got some glare on the image and will have to reshoot it and cut that out. But I wanted to share the picture with my readers. I just finished reading my book, The Perfect Wife, and this will help to occupy my free time.
Now that I’ve published about half of my stories in paperback, I’ve started to read them again. Normally, I typically read on my ZFold 4, but it is pretty neat to be able to hold your book. Plus it gives Foxy a chance to read them as she refuses to read on an electronic device.
While the covers may be too much for the doctor’s office or the hairdresser, I’ve found inexpensive covers that hide the artwork I’ve slaved over. Amazon has some stretchy book covers, which are six for $11 in the US. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0839PG4SG

That’s the 64K question. So far, so good, and I haven’t been in the dog house for making her a complete slut at times. She’s primarily commented on what she considers an editorial mistake. I noticed the other day that she’s started reading House Party but hasn’t mentioned it to me. We tend to compartmentalize ourselves, and I don’t push her to open up. For someone who can be outrageous at times, she can be painfully shy at other times. I still don’t fully understand her but know when to keep my mouth shut. She understands that the fictional Foxy is not always the same person.
I’m the first to admit that I wasn’t sure if paperback erotica would sell, but as of this minute, they are 31% of total Amazon sales, and I have 80 book sales in the first 15 days of Jan at Amazon alone. While not setting the world on fire, I’m slowly starting to get a reasonable check from Zon. SmashWords et al. are about the same, but it’s harder to track except long term as they push out to others and don’t report on a timely basis.
