NovelRank, a respected site for tracking Amazon sales of Kindle stories, is no more. Like the dead parrot of Monty Python fame, we’ll not have NovelRank to kick around anymore.
As an author of erotica and hopefully seller of smut stories, I require gratification and stroking to keep me in the bathroom with my laptop, doing more than jerking off. While Amazon allows you to find sales information on how your electronic eBooks are doing, it requires some work to get an idea of how your sales are doing and are your marketing plans working out.
There are a handful of 3rd party sites which pull together sales data and present it in a fashion that can be easily assimilated. There are now N-1 sites available to look at for you math types.
According to NovelRank, their access to sales information was terminated as they were trying to do things other than send sales to Amazon. I’m not sure what that means but the bottom line is that Amazon pulled the plug on them.
There are several other sites that I can recommend for the author, who publishes Amazon Kindle stories.
SalesRankExpress.com is your go-to site to figure out if your story has been thrown in Amazon’s Adult Dungeon, which means that your story disappears from Amazon’s search engines. If your story is ranked “Safe” then you’re okay; “Adult” then you’re in the dungeon.
eBookTracker is a good site that you can add your books to and see their ranking in one easy to understand spot. You also have the ability to track books by other authors if desired.
Book Report is my go-to spot for sales information. Book Report will show your sales earning over the last month, 30-days, etc. along with a daily sales graph. Your top stories are listed to find out what the top sellers are. Note: You have to let them have access to your account.
I’m Larry Archer, an author of HEA explicit sex stories about swingers, cuckolds, Hotwives, along with some BDSM thrown in. My stories are loosely described as stroke material, which is designed for self-gratification without having to hunt for all the dirty parts, as they are on every page.
