I’ve recently started publishing on Google Play Books in both electronic (ePub) and audiobook formats. So far, it seems to be working out, and sales are ramping up. It’s pretty straightforward to publish on Google but you have to pay attention to detail.
The publishing process is a step-by-step, similar to Amazon, SmashWords, or Draft2Digital, but it’s easy to miss the two adult-related questions. There is a button for Mature Audiences and one for the minimum age of the reader. I’m not sure if you need to enter a minimum age after selecting mature audiences but I took the step of entering 18+ for the reader target ages.
Currently, the publishing times are quick. In my experience, it takes less than an hour for your smut book to be reviewed and released for public consumption. Then, once you’ve published your electronic version of the story, it can be translated into audiobook format.
Ensure you don’t use any four-letter words in the blurb, as that gets their shorts in a knot. Looking at some of the titles offered by other authors, I question Google being offended by a dirty word when My Semen Sipping Mom, Pumped Full of Cum, My Pump and Dump MILF, Creampie in Fertile Holes, Oops He Got Me Pregnant, and Virgin Cum Dumpsters are proudly displayed in the Google Play Books Catalog. Yet, they are offended at my use of the word “fuck?” So far, How to Ejaculate and Shoot Further is my favorite.
