Is AI Ripping You Off?

Today, I realized I’ve been deceived. And no, it wasn’t about Santa Claus or the Easter Bunny. Those soul-wrenching tragedies occurred a long time ago. My parents lied to me, and it has scared me for life.

I just found out that a number of my smut stories were used to train the AI engines. If you ever got up in the middle of the night to get a glass of water and found your new smart refrigerator moaning with a puddle spreading on the floor, it may be jerking off to my porn stories.

According to an article in The Atlantic, you can search to find out if your stories were used to teach AI masturbatory techniques. From their website:

The Atlantic published a searchable database of over 7.5 million books and 81 million research papers. This data set, called Library Genesis or ‘LibGen’ for short, is full of pirated material, and all of it has been used to develop AI systems by tech giant Meta.

Searching for my name, I discovered that eight of my stories were utilized to teach AI engines how to write smut stories. I’m not sure if I should feel horrified or proud that somewhere in the back of a Radio Shack, an Alexa device is whacking off to me. Does she use sewing machine oil or WD-40, I wonder?

Here’s what I discovered after searching for my author’s name:

Now, the anal part of me is asking, “How out of my 40+ erotica stories did the AI engine only pick 8?”

Fantasy Swingers I
I Saw Mommy Sucking Santa Claus
Alyson Discovers the Glory Hole
Another Day in Paradise
Cuckold Club: First Date
Driving the Stripper Mobile
Cheating Glory Hole Wives
Company Benefits

Looking at the list, I’m not sure why some of these were picked, as I would have swapped out a couple of them if I was restricted to eight stories. Especially I Saw Mommy Sucking Santa Claus, which is a tongue-in-cheek version of I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus.

You might want to check The Atlantic article and search the database for your stories if you are an author. I’m not sure what you can do about it, but if you’re like me, you can feel violated.

I’m Larry Archer, a writer of erotic narratives for those eager and interested. Alongside my partner Foxy, we’re active swingers, and I draw inspiration from our real-life experiences. My tales often delve into themes of swinging, unicorns, Hotwives, and cuckoldry. While this lifestyle isn’t suited for everyone, it has been fun. My work is explicit and intense, yet often woven with a semblance of a plot. Larry Archer’s adult fiction is typically upbeat and entertaining, reflecting the fun we’ve found in swinging. You can find my stories on most popular platforms. Larry’s erotic romance novels are offered in digital, paperback, and audiobook formats.

I always recommend that you purchase your smut from KinkyLiterature. The price is the same, and you help support a site that provides the best erotic literature. You still end up purchasing through your recommended supplier; however, the sale goes through KinkyLiterature, and they make a commission off your transaction, but your price remains the same.

Ain’t that about a bitch? I would imagine that the folks at Meta wrote a precise query with certain criteria to pirate and your works got caught up in the mix. It also presumes that if you publish an ebook, the data are out there to be had which, insanely, makes sense if/when a prospective reader wants to jerk off to Larry’s works and while the transaction may be secure, where the data resides may not be all that secure in that sense.

I’d have a conversation with the outlets my shit is being sold to find out how they’re handling the data I’m sending them. I’d have to go back and read all of my agreements with them to see if they snuck a clause in that says the data I sent them could be used by other entities – like Meta.

AIs have to learn… stuff and having them learn about sex makes sense given how it’s very damned likely someone is going to ask an AI about something sexual – and either its filters won’t allow it to answer, or it’ll tell you that it doesn’t know. In a way, this is flattering and, yeah, not so much.

I can’t figure out if I should be offended or not.

So far in my experimenting with AI, it’s been a less than satisfying experience. But as I always say, “The worst I ever had was wonderful.”

I have a good time fucking with Copilot asking it questions that I’m almost sure it’s not going to answer. It’s a search engine at best but some of the conversations I’ve had with Copilot have been rather interesting

Alexa used to give interesting answers to questions like “How big are your tits?” or “What’s the best place to bury a body?”

Now she just makes a rude noise when you ask.

    Hi, Larry,

Probably the reason those stories are listed is that those are the ones that have been pirated. I suspect it has zero to do with preference, quality or anything else.

AI training is like a vacuum cleaner, sucking up anything it can reach. Gross.

    xxoo,
