Cover Battle – WTF?

As I’m putting the wraps on Company Benefits, my latest smut story, Mark, one of my faithful readers, questions my choice of which cover image to use. Is it Door number one or two? Well, come on down!

Both are gorgeous, but which one to use?

I would never kick either one out of bed for different reasons. When I design a cover, my first goal is a beautiful woman who speaks to me and roughly relates to the storyline. My cover ideas are typically opposite to what other authors create. After I designed the initial cover, I got to thinking. I liked the shot, but it didn’t seem to fit my idea of an executive’s wife who is taking care of the pool boy while her husband is off making multimillion-dollar deals.

What do you think?

About LarryArcher

Larry Archer's the name, smut's my game. I am a writer of erotic literature that's generally always HEA (Happily Ever After), which typically involves no regrets sex. I write in a humorous style with a plot and suitable for reading with one hand. My stories are full of sexual situations that are often taken straight from our swinger lifestyle in Las Vegas. If you want to enjoy erotica, where every page is dripping with action, give me a try.

regarding A not matching the pool boy aspect of the story, I guess it all depends on how many double entendres one can make out of “snorkeling” 😉

  2. I like A. It’s much sexier and also more different from your other covers.

Though I agree I’d not kick the woman in B out of bed, either!

Speaking of which, I dreamed last night that I was doing Foxy. Ah, if only!

Oh, no another vote for door number 1! LOL Decisions, decisions, decisions? I don’t question your comment at all and I completely agree, But! What to do? My basic guideline on the cover image is grabbing the prospective reader. In most cases, the reader will never see the image after buying the story as it typically isn’t shown without some work. I’m starting to lean towards “A” and still soul searching on my decision.

Foxy read your comment and this is what she said. Well, I can’t tell you what she said as I might get blocked for repeating her comment. 🙂 Needless to say, it would involve wrapping her fingers in your hair and holding you close. Read into that any way you’d like!

I just hope I get to watch you two kiss? I’ll put my camera on electronic shutter and you’ll never know I was there!
