Just a quick note to wish everyone a Merry Christmas around the world. And if you don’t celebrate Christmas then Happy Holidays to you. Be safe and be kind to your fellow man. Today there is so much angst and strife in the world it’s unbelievable.

Everyone needs to collectively take a breath and dial down the anger for a moment. Here in the United States, we seem to have one mass shooting after another. No good comes out of hurting your fellow man and why should you want to spend years in jail for a moment’s satisfaction?

I grew up in Deep East Texas, where guns were common and everywhere around the house. But we never even considered using them to harm someone. I just don’t understand how in my lifetime, we have became so bloodthirsty.

I don’t know the answer except that our elected officials need to enact common-sense gun laws and just tell the NRA no. Our politicians hate each other’s guts and refuse to work together even in the face of shootings on an almost daily basis.

That’s enough ranting for the day.
