We were driving home early one morning last weekend after a late night party when I noticed the sun coming up over Frenchman’s Mountains or Sunrise Mountain as it’s commonly called.
Picture quality is not that great, it was still fairly dark and I was using my phone and not my DSLR but the clouds and colors of the sun peeking over the mountains were spectacular.
We moved out here from the mid-west and I just have to shake my head when I see blizzards, storms, tornados, and other natural calamities happening across the country and the only thing we have to deal with is about four months of hot weather.
As a kid growing up in Deep East Texas, I remember the colorful sunrises and sunsets when all the colors of the rainbow were streaked across the sky. I had forgotten how colorful the sky was living in the mid-west.
The weather has been close to 70 degrees and I’ll have to officially open the pool soon. Hot tubbing is not as much fun if your hair is not frozen and there’s no snow on the deck, but I can live without that.
My wife will not get in the pool if it’s not 90-degree water and thankfully that’s not a problem here.
