Remember when you were a kid and having to wait for Santa to come down your chimney and put gifts all around your Christmas tree? Then when you learned the cruel truth about Santa Claus, you didn’t tell your parents you knew the truth as you didn’t want the presents to stop.
I’ve finished my print version of Stripper or Nurse? which ended up as a 260-page saga of never ending sex and will make you have to switch to your left hand as a backup.
Now, I feel like that kid waiting for the sun to come up so I could play with my Red Ryder BB gun and hopefully not shoot my eye out!
I finally finished my story in Quark and printed the inside, followed by designing the cover, spine, and back for my smut story. Then I bundled it all up and shipped it off through the mystery of the Internet and are now waiting for CreateSpace to bless the whole thing and give me permission to order a sample copy.
I hope this doesn’t turn out to be anti-climatic because it certainly wasn’t easy to get a print copy of my story done. But at least the next time I should not have as many dead ends to go through.
While QuarkXPress certainly allows you to pretty much do anything to a book design, intuitive is not a word that would normally be used in the same sentence as Quark.
